Berfu Gören Soares

Berfu Güley Gören Soares currently works as a Principal Researcher at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Nova FCSH). She holds her PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) (2018). She has an MSc. in Urban Planning from İTÜ (2011); has a Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul (2009), and have also another Degree in Sociology from Istanbul University (2023). She has been working with a special interest in accessibility; active mobility; children; disability; elderly; inclusive design; marginalization; mobility; playability; public space; sustainability; urban design; urban sociology and walkability.
