The research project proposes to make an integrated approach to the problems of water scarcity, whether due to its quantity or the deterioration of its quality, due to this there is a lack of potable water to guarantee the public supply in the cities and the same occurs in the area rural areas, causing losses to agribusiness.
The research contributes to assist in the production of knowledge and generate information that helps in decision-making regarding water management. An inventory of water sources within the urban perimeter of Caçapava do Sul/RS will be carried out, mapping and verifying their quality. Simultaneously, a historical and cultural rescue of the use of these sources is carried out.
The research is developed through primary and secondary data. Primary data will be obtained by technical visit, collection and analysis of water samples, interviews with residents of the region and application of questionnaires with people who use the areas around the sources. As a result, data records will be available to managers and researchers.
